ABOUT THE UFL

ABOUT THE ROLE

The United Football League (UFL) is seeking a detail oriented Temp. Accounting Associate to support the league’s day to day accounting operations. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting across the organization.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the financial operations of a growing professional sports league while collaborating with team members across Finance and other business functions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Process invoices, expense reports, and related accounting transactions.

• Prepare and upload journal entries in  support of monthly close activities.

• Perform account reconciliations and assist with investigating discrepancies.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Conduct account analysis to support financial reporting and operational decision-making.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies

• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.

• Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team.

• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance or related experience. 

• Working knowledge of  accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation process.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience working in accounting systems; Netsuite experience is a plus. 

• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS  

• This is a part-time, temporary role working up to 29 hours per week. 

• Anticipated duration of this position is through December 31, 2026.

• The location of this role is flexible and the league will consider remote candidates.

• Limited travel may be required for meetings, league events and business needs.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.

COMPENSATION: 

This part-time, temporary position offers a rate of $25.00–$32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. Expected schedule is approximately 20–29 hours per week, with flexibility based on organizational needs.
