As our Accounting Associate I, you will support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, including transaction entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll data entry, working closely with and under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and other Finance team members.

You will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

To be successful in this role:

• Transaction Entry: Enter day-to-day transactions into QuickBooks Online, including credit card activity and incoming payments, following established procedures and templates.
• Accounts Receivable: Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collections, keeping the AR aging report up to date and escalating any issues to the Accounting Manager or a more senior teammate.
• Accounts Payable: Enter vendor invoices into Ramp using the expense accounts, classes and approvers provided, and track invoices through to payment.
• Payroll: Support weekly, bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll processing in Rippling by compiling timesheets, PTO and other pay data for review by the Accounting Team.
• Close Procedures: Assist with month / quarter / year-end close activities, including basic workpaper preparation and filing under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
• Financial statement / 401(k) audits: Help gather and organize supporting documentation for our annual audits.
• Ad hoc projects: Offer flexibility and willingness to assist fellow Accounting team members with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be open to learning, experimenting, and evolving. Comfort with emerging technology and curiosity around how tools like AI can support your workflow or help families more effectively is a plus.

• Experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or administrative support role (internships considered).
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Highly organized and detail oriented, with a strong ability to follow established processes and procedures accurately.
• Proficiency with macOS systems, GSuite, and QuickBooks Online

Qualifications that are preferred but not mandatory:

• Prior exposure to Slack, Ramp and/or Rippling.
• Experience/knowledge of accounting within the Healthcare / Technology industry is preferred.
• Experience working in a remote environment.

Total Rewards Package

The starting salary for this position is $42,000-$50,000.

To work remotely, you must have a strong internet connection, quiet space to take calls and a professional (distraction free) environment.

This is a remote and US states based opportunity. We ask that you work in a location that is:

• Private, with secure (not public) internet and phone access
• Suitable to safely and securely accommodate the sensitive information that you will be handling and communicating
• Given the nature of the material you will be working on and handling, you are required to work from a private, dedicated, distraction-free space
