Accounting Assistant                                       $25-$27/hour                                      
When most people think of a professional Motorsports team, the race events, competitive driving and service crews at events first comes to mind. The reality is a professional Motorsports team requires extensive behind the scenes support through planning and preparation to ensure the best chance of success on race day. This position supports the team in several administrative and accounting areas to help the team achieve its goals. Working closely with the Accounting Manager and HR Director, this role requires a self-starting and largely self-managing personality with a strong ability to triage and prioritize tasks as necessary with some direction and assistance of the Accounting Manager and HR Director.
Duties/Responsibilities
Organization of documents to include filing
Interact with others effectively to obtain information
Prepare documents for tax preparation
Communicate and report accounting matters to others effectively
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts and verify accuracy of all General
Ledger balances
Determine proper procedures for transaction posting
Transmit electronic payments and be the contact person with
financial institutions to include banks, credit card companies etc.
Monitor accounting accuracy for the entire organization
Oversee all payroll functions 
Oversee reporting for 401k and Worker’s Compensation
Assist Human Resources with payroll matters
Process bills and expense reports 
Create invoices for customers
Skills/Abilities
Thorough interest and grasp of all accounting principles, especially general ledger
function and purpose
Understanding of budgets
Understanding of job tracking, class tracking and their relevance to budgeting
Ability to use mathematical solutions to answer questions relevant to accounting matters
Proven ability to be courteous, flexible and understanding
Ability to self -manage and prioritize skills
Attention to detail a must
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Education and Experience
Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
2 or more years Accounting Experience
NetSuite experience desired
BambooHR Experience a plus
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, individuals may frequently be required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; regularly required to talk and hear.
