Accounting Assistant

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Managing incoming AP invoices and processing through routing system
• Mail and release checks to vendors
• Process Notices of Intent to Lien received from vendors and sub-vendors
• Research and answer vendor payment status requests
• Follow up with vendors regarding checks that remain unreleased
• Provide timely responses to vendors regarding payment inquiries as well as other questions related to AP
• Release checks once required documents have been received, either by mailing or by distributing in person
• Electronically file all lien releases in the job files, both PDF copies and scanning and saving hard copies
• Process employee expense reports
• Update checklist daily with any new checks and checks released
• Enter all permit costs and reconcile Permit Register weekly with all permits obtained

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years related experience preferred
• AP experience preferred
• Detailed and hands-on approach
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
