We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented accounting/payroll assistant to join our team. An associate degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or related fields is preferred. This role will have responsibilities assisting with accounting and payroll.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records
- Reconcile accounts
- Invoicing and accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Expense tracking
- Assist with commercial insurance renewals.
- Interpret financial reports and provide insights to management
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Process payroll in the absence the current payroll admin
- Review certified payrolls and in the absence of the current payroll admin process the certified payroll
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Associate degree in accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to take initiative and be flexible while meeting multiple demands within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed computer skills including competence & proficiency in Microsoft Excel
