What You Will Achieve:
AbbVie's Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) consists of four rotations over a period of two years and specifically prepares you for future tasks and development opportunities in the finance sector. During the program, you will work on a variety of projects, further develop your technical and personal competencies, and gain insights into different finance functions as well as contact with leaders within the company. This is how you will build a comprehensive understanding of AbbVie's finance organization and lay the foundation for a successful career in finance.
You will have the opportunity to work in four different areas for six months each over two years. In the first year, you will support both Operations Controlling in Ludwigshafen and Commercial Affiliate FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) in Wiesbaden. In the second year, you will have the opportunity to get to know further finance functions in Europe, with one rotation planned at our Finance Shared Service Center in Krakow, Poland. Depending on business requirements, the fourth rotation may take place in areas such as Commercial Finance, Treasury, Regional Headquarters, or Area Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.
Furthermore, you will work in a cross-functional matrix organization, develop your business understanding, and participate in important training and development measures. Additionally, each FDP trainee will be assigned an experienced mentor who will act as a coach and sparring partner throughout the entire program.
During the two-year program, you will also participate in various international meetings, virtually or on-site in Europe, such as European Finance Director Meetings, FDP Alumni Meetings, Steering Committees, or networking events with leaders from Europe and the USA. At the end of the program, you will travel to AbbVie's headquarters in the greater Chicago area for two weeks to gain additional insights into global finance functions and further expand your international network.
Possible Rotations and Areas of Deployment:
- Commercial Affiliate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
