About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

·         Prepare and record company financial transactions in accordance with governing accounting guidance and company policies, preparing supplemental schedules as required.

·         Assist in month end close and ensure financial records are in compliance with internal process documentation, generally accepted accounting principles, corporate accounting policies/control standards and applicable federal contracting regulations.

·         Support financial, tax, internal and government reporting audits.

·         Adhere to internal controls; assist with Sarbanes Oxley test of controls.

·         Interface with management and company personnel, as required, regarding the status of accounting transactions and corrective actions required

·         Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations applying appropriate analytical techniques.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

·         Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience

·         Ability to maintain security clearance

·         Effective analytical skills and business acumen including an understanding of company operational processes and demonstrated understanding of technical accounting principles

·         Ability to analyze and interpret program financial data. PC Proficiency required in Microsoft office with a strong emphasis on Excel

·         Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and work well in a team environment

·         Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
