Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is recruiting for an Accountant II in Houston, TX to work within a Wood client office. This is contract position with possibility for extension. The Accountant II, will be a member of the Client's Marketing Accounting team, reporting to the Marketing Accounting Supervisor: This position will be on a hybrid schedule working in the client office Monday, Wednesday & Thursday and working from home on Tuesday and Friday. Workday is 7:30 to 5:30 Monday-Thursday and 7:30 to 11:30 on Friday.
**Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.
Brief List of Duties:
- Perform marketing accounting functions related to client domestic oil and gas properties;
- Actualize oil, gas, and ngl volumes marketing by client in Endur for integration of pricing and deduct data to the revenue department;
- Responsible for payment of transportation and cashout invoices;
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts with emphasis on third party receivables, payables, and intercompany balances;
- Communicate with revenue accounting and marketing departments to ensure proper accounting of assigned assets;
- Work on special projects as requested by management; and
- Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to client's Corporation.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
• 3-5 years of professional accounting experience in the oil and gas industry;
• An Accounting degree with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
• Knowledge and experience with Endur a plus;
• Marketing accounting experience a plus;
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills; and
• Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
