Location: On-site in Sioux Falls, SD 57108, hybrid potential after onboarding

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F 8a-5p

Pay Range: $65,000 - $78,000 annual salary (DOE) with comprehensive benefits package available.

Job Description:

We are teaming up with a rapidly growing financial services company seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Sioux Falls team in providing advanced accounting responsibilities such as reconciling the general ledger, analyzing financial information related to budgets and forecasts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting some accounting transactional work as needed. The successful candidate will enjoy both accounting and finance responsibilities, be independent and self-driven, have strong GAAP knowledge and have a commitment to process improvements and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintain general ledger accuracy, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing financial results, identifying variances, and providing insights to support business decisions.
• Assist with internal controls, audits, and compliance efforts to safeguard company assets and maintain adherence to financial policies and accounting standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes by identifying efficiencies, resolving accounting issues, and implementing solutions that enhance accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or closely related field.
• Two or more years of accounting-related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of GAAP, financial statements and reports, general ledgers and journal entries.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in NetSuite or similar system preferred.
