What You'll Do: Provide support to our sister company: Eighty-Eight Oil LLC. Enters data into accounting systems. Inputs journal entries. Performs account reconciliations. Performs transactional accounting entries. Prepare routine reports i.e. sales tax. Validates data against system reports. Verifies that controls and processes have been followed. Ensures all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures. Works with operations, other shared services, and other stakeholders to problem solve. Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in appropriate time period. Participates in other projects assigned. What We're Looking For: Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities An associate’s degree in accounting and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Basic accounting knowledge; debits and credits. Basic fixed assets understanding. Ability to read professional documents (invoices, various financial statements, emails). Ability to correspond in an informative and professional manner. Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators. Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel Oil and gas experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications English language fluency, verbal and written.
