Accountant I

The DC Accounting Clerk 1  is responsible for preparing account reconciliations, account analysis, freight reconciliation and various other DC related tasks. This position will also assist in the inventory reconciliation for the Lubbock warehouse. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare freight reconciliation on a weekly basis to ensure every load is breakeven or profitable 

• Work on improving processes to reconcile freight in accounting systems 

• Assist in the reconciliation of inventory and warehouse payable account 

• Review suspect average cost report daily 

• Review freight invoice adjustments daily  

• Work closely with Llano inbound transportation department  

• Work closely with procurement team from each department to manage freight deals in the system 

• Perform other accounting functions as needed 

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor  

Key Requirements: 

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred, or 3-5 years experience 

• Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel 

• Must be able to multi-task and meet deadline in a fast paced environment 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude 

• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
