Purpose of the Job

Take the next step in your accounting career by working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple jurisdictions. In this role, you'll strengthen your technical accounting expertise while managing increasingly complex financial reporting requirements and supporting the delivery of high-quality client services. You'll gain exposure to financial statements, management accounts, audits and regulatory reporting, while also developing your leadership skills through coaching and supporting junior team members. Working closely with colleagues, auditors and management, you'll contribute to delivering accurate, insightful and timely financial information that helps clients meet their business and regulatory obligations.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting records, reconciliations and financial transactions to support the accurate production of financial statements and management accounts.
• Deliver annual financial statements, management accounts and VAT returns in accordance with applicable accounting standards and client deadlines.
• Support a portfolio of semi-complex clients, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
• Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate audit processes and respond to accounting-related queries.
• Review client deliverables and working papers, ensuring compliance with Ocorian standards, procedures and quality requirements.
• Provide guidance, coaching and day-to-day support to Junior and Assistant Accountants, helping to develop technical capability across the team.
• Partner with management and colleagues on client matters, process improvements and ad hoc projects that support business objectives.
• Contribute to the delivery of accounting services across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• ACCA or ACA qualified, or degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with relevant accounting, audit or financial services experience.
• At least 4 years' experience preparing financial statements, management accounts and client reporting within a professional services or financial services environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS; exposure to UK GAAP, private client structures or other accounting frameworks would be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with clients, auditors and colleagues at all levels.
• Desirable: Experience using Navision, Viewpoint, ValueFinancials or similar accounting systems, together with an interest in mentoring and developing junior team members.
