Resurrection has an opening for a Worship Experience Specialist- Procurement in our Ministries & Programs division! The position is part-time, non-exempt with some Sundays required. Please see below for a full job description.
Job Summary
As the Procurement Specialist, this position will be responsible for worship and hospitality purchasing/procurement and inventory management for the Worship Experience Team ensuring all locations are resourced well for weekly and special activities. These duties include online ordering, managing and tracking deliveries, sending items out to locations each week and collaborating with other team members for unique items and special projects. This role is the driver for administrative management of orders and inventory as well as budget tracking and oversight.

Position-Specific
- Oversee purchasing and procurement churchwide for the Worship Experience Team.
- Develop, maintain and update online inventory forms
- Maintain adequate volumes of inventory to meet each location’s needs
- Collaborate with other Worship Experience Specialists and coordinate delivery of items to locations in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors
- Evaluate purchasing options and oversee the stewardship of the Worship Experience Team budget
- Attend Worship Experience and Location-specific team meetings, All-Staff meetings, etc.
- Provide support to location team in the event of large weddings or funerals in the Sanctuary.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Required Skills: Positive and professional communication skills with strong acumen for working with a wide variety of people. Proficient computer skills, especially with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word. Data management expertise through database maintenance and reporting. Aptitude working with web content management software. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
- Specialized knowledge: Understanding of the United Methodist Book of Worship in relationship to worship elements and sacraments (Baptism/Communion) needed as well as awareness and understanding of the liturgical calendar.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs., stand for long periods of time and walk extensively during worship services.
