Core Responsibilities
- System Configuration: Designing and maintaining payroll rules, tax updates, and business processes.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolving system issues and supporting post-implementation stabilization.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Developing reports, audits, and dashboards to ensure accurate payroll data.
- Testing & Upgrades: Managing testing for biannual Workday releases and system enhancements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to align system functionality with business needs.
Required Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on configuration experience, specifically in Workday Payroll.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and regulations (multi-state experience is often required).
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to build calculated fields, maintain security configurations, and manage EIBs.
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, effective communication, and project management skills.
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience transitioning from legacy systems (like PeopleSoft or ADP) to Workday.
- Workday Payroll certification.
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
Ensures software integrity, security, effectiveness, and efficiency. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and aligns systems with business strategies. Assists in creating and maintaining project plans, status reports, and checklists. Supports cross-team functional integration testing. Creates test scripts for applications and manages client project Open Issues List. Collaborates with technical and functional personnel and consultants to ensure timely task completion. Provides daily Payroll end-user support, troubleshooting production data issues. Conducts functional, unit, system, and end-user acceptance testing. Develops and implements plans for manual data conversion. Analyzes existing systems and payroll/accounting processes to improve productivity, quality, and software value (PeopleSoft HCM module). Manages risk, scope, and project planning, escalating issues as needed. Completes documentation for all software development life cycle phases. Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience with PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM/Payroll implementation projects [Preferred]

Pay Range:
