The VP, FP&A Back Office Shared Services role is a unique opportunity to combine core finance responsibilities with a focus on process improvement and executive reporting. You'll take ownership of key FP&A deliverables while identifying ways to enhance finance processes through automation and AI-enabled tools. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a hands-on approach and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and enhance executive-level reporting and materials for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Back Office Shared Services, including variance analysis.
- Partner with Shared Services functions to understand cost drivers and resource needs, and align with business priorities.
- Evaluate and improve allocation methodologies, ensuring transparency and effective communication of cost drivers.
- Identify opportunities to automate and enhance recurring reporting and planning workflows using advanced tools.
- Develop scalable reporting and forecasting processes to reduce manual effort and improve financial insights.
- Provide clear analysis on headcount, expenses, and operating metrics to support resource planning and decision-making.
- Translate complex financial data into concise, actionable outputs for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across FP&A processes, reporting, and data structures.
- Foster a culture of process improvement and practical execution within the finance team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience, with a focus on shared services or cost centers.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting skills, with a track record of process improvement.
- Experience with automation, analytics tools, dashboarding, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance finance workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to link financial results to business decisions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with finance, corporate functions, and senior leadership teams.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with a talent for producing executive-level materials.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, focused on continuous improvement and practical implementation of new processes.
- Attention to detail, strong ownership, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
- A strategic yet hands-on approach, combining high-quality FP&A deliverables with process modernization.
- Demonstrated interest in applying technology, automation, and AI to enhance finance operations.
Salary starting at $150,000 plus bonus
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
