Ultipro Payroll Manager - USA

Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants, seeking a payroll manager on Ultipro.
Responsibilities:
- Process U.S. bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality when handling employee data.
- Process prior-quarter wage and tax adjustments.
- Apply company payroll policies and procedures consistently each payroll cycle.
- Support year-end processing to ensure W-2 accuracy.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with audit requirements.
- Update desktop procedures.
- Run ad hoc payroll reports as requested.
- Assist with special payroll projects and system updates as assigned.
Required Qualification(s):
- BS degree or equivalent payroll experience.
- 7+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing.
- Extensive payroll compliance and employment tax background.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- RSU/stock payroll processing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- UKG Pro payroll experience.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Experience with payrolls larger than 15,000 employees.
- Payroll accounting experience, including journal entries.
- Familiarity with SAP (S/4 HANA) and BlackLine.
- Familiarity with UKG's UTA and/or WFM (formerly Workforce Dimensions).
- Experience in process optimization.
- Knowledge of RPA, preferably Automation Anywhere.
- Ability to build Cognos reports.
- Experience with UKG Pro Backoffice.
- Dayforce Canada payroll experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
- Garnishment administration knowledge.
Duration: This is a project-based consulting opportunity with a start date of early October 2025 with an initial duration through October 2026, with the possibility of extending.
Level of Effort: Full Time
Working Hours: 40 hours
