Responsibilities
This role will assist in protecting the company assets by reconciling store bank deposits and other bank account activity daily. Also perform daily audit sales transactions from stores and Ecommerce Sites.
- Responsible for daily store banking processes for Spencer and Spirit
- Perform daily audit of POS register sale transactions
- Learn Ecommerce transactional flow and resolve guest services customer issues
- Provide support during annual audits by capturing the numerous required documents to support cash and sale transactions
- Assist with the reconciling of consignment stores daily sales and validation of credit card sales/payments
- Coordinate consignment Canadian credit card terminal shipment and return, and validate billing
- Assist in setting up credit card merchant accounts
- Prepare journal entries into the General Ledger for cash, sales and other related activity
- Process the monthly bank reconciliations for Spencer and Spirit stores, in the US and Canada
- Track consignment credit card payments and chargebacks for proper accounting to Consignment Operators
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Knowledge and familiarity with various Accounting software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and follow through, detail-oriented
- Knowledge of banking procedures, preferred
