This position will be responsible for supervising the accurate, daily recording of incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit cards) against accounts receivable. Must be able to provide direction for members of the CBO cash team as well as the Lifepoint Healthcare partnership hospitals.
How you’ll contribute
A Senior Analyst, Accounts Receivable who excels in this role will:
- Assist Managers in overseeing the CBO achieve established department goals.
- Train new employees and implementing relevant policies and procedures.
- Interact with staff and resolving issues escalated by Patient Account Representatives.
- Understand and interpret insurance and Medicare explanation of benefits, knowing when and how to resubmit claims for maximum reimbursement. Payment Posting: Accurately post payments, adjustments, denials, and refunds to patient or client accounts in the billing system.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile daily and monthly cash receipts ensuring accuracy.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Report discrepancies in payments, including unidentified receipts.
- Coordination: Collaborate with revenue cycle team to maintain accurate accounts receivable.
- Compliance: Adhere to established, legal, and company policies, such as HIPAA for health data.
- Understand and interpret insurance and Medicare explanation of benefits.
- Be able to effectively solve problems, exchange ideas, and actively listen in a team environment.
- Demonstrate willingness to accept additional duties as assigned and completed by deadlines negotiated with supervisor.
- Be able to multi-task effectively, think critically, and to take initiative.
- Prepare and report to upper management on status of efforts related to key departmental metrics.
- Ensure staff audits are completed, and results discussed with direct reports.
- Ensure Meditech system is working efficiently and identifying any issues related to claim data.

What we’re looking for
- High School Diploma.
- 6 years’ experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Four to five years of supervisory experience in a billing operation.
- A high level of knowledge in managing data from disparate operating systems.
- Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.
