Position Title:- Team Lead Accountant-Project Clean Up

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana (Onsite)

Position type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead grant and project reconciliation activities within the Finance Department. This role will be responsible for reviewing and correcting historical financial transactions, reconciling grants and projects, processing journal entries and revenue transactions, and coordinating project closeouts in PeopleSoft and Euna.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile grants and projects to ensure accurate financial records.
• Audit historical project activities and identify necessary corrections.
• Process journal entries and revenue transactions.
• Coordinate and track project/grant closeouts in PeopleSoft and Euna.
• Review grant awards and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Maintain status reports and reconciliation tracking for all assigned projects.
• Lead reconciliation efforts and collaborate with finance teams to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of accounting and/or auditing experience.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Government Accounting, and grant accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Experience with Euna Financial & Grants software preferred.
• State government accounting experience preferred.
