Location: Indianapolis, IN. This is primarily an on-site position designed to encourage collaboration and mentorship, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule after 90 days and certain in-office days required.
Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of experience preparing both business and individual tax returns, experience communicating directly with clients, and experience handling IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.

Job Description
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage tax compliance and ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide guidance.
- Respond to IRS and state notices and assist with resolving tax issues.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and support proactive tax planning strategies.
- Analyze financial information and support consulting and advisory engagements.
- Maintain organized records and stay current on tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding client service.
- Help clients maintain accounting records that flow efficiently into tax returns.
- Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and responsiveness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience preparing both business and individual tax returns.
- Experience communicating directly with clients and managing relationships.
- Experience responding to IRS and state tax agencies.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance and tax planning concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent credential preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with tax software, Excel, and common accounting applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
