THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for a Tax Reporting Administrator (18-Month Contract) to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver office. WHAT YOU’LL DOReporting to the Supervisor, Tax Reporting, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of tax-related documentation and tax reporting for clients and regulatory bodies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate tax records and help ensure compliance with CRA/IRS and other regulatory requirements Support the reconciliation and validation of tax data from internal systems Assist in the preparation and distribution of annual tax slips (e.g., T3, T5, 1099, T5013) Research and investigate income and corporate action reorganization events for tax reporting purposes Provide client service and administrative support to Investment Advisors and Assistants Respond to internal and external inquiries related to tax documents and reporting accurately and in a timely manner Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and accuracy of processing is maintained in a fast paced service-driven environment Identify opportunities to streamline processes for operational efficiencies and collaborate with team members to document new and existing processes Engage in continuous learning and development to build tax reporting knowledge and expertise Participate in Corporate Actions and Tax Reporting projects as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
1+ years of investment industry experience in Corporate Actions, Taxation, Client Services, Banking or similar function Working knowledge of Canadian tax slips and regulatory requirements Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proven experience of serving clients in a professional services environment Exceptional attention to detail and skilled at working efficiently and accurately Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize important and time-sensitive tasks Motivated and eager to learn, with a strong sense of accountability and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with ability to work independently and within a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications Experience with the Broadridge Dataphile platform or similar bookkeeping system is considered an asset Familiarity with the investment industry, tax reporting, or accounting processes is considered an asset
