Tax Manager / Senior Tax Accountant – Partner Track (CPA Firm)
Arkansas Talent Group • Little Rock, Arkansas • Full Time
Posted on Fri, Aug 7, 2026
Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established, Central Arkansas–based CPA Firm to identify an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Accountant to join their growing team. This is a confidential, key leadership hire with a clear path to Partner on a faster timeline than is typically available at larger regional or national firms. This person preferably would live in the Central Arkansas area, but can really live anywhere in the State of Arkansas.
The firm is known for delivering personalized, proactive tax and accounting services to closely held businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates, and is highly regarded in the Arkansas market for its client-focused approach and long-term relationships.
What you will do:
- Lead and review complex tax engagements for business, individual, trust, and estate clients (federal, state, and local)
- Own the full lifecycle of tax compliance and planning—from initial client meetings and scoping through review and final delivery
- Provide proactive tax advisory on entity structure, multi-state issues, and year-round planning strategies
- Supervise and develop staff and senior accountants; review workpapers, coach team members, and support technical growth
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, strengthening relationships and becoming a trusted advisor
- Partner with firm leadership on workflow, quality standards, technology, and process improvements
- Support practice development through referrals, networking, and participation in local business and community events
Ideal candidate:
- CPA required (or substantially complete with eligibility in the near term)
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience in tax, including at least 2 years in a senior or manager-level capacity
- Strong technical expertise in pass-through entities, closely held businesses, and individual tax; experience with trusts/estates is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client expectations with accuracy and professionalism
Why this opportunity stands out:
- Fast-track partner potential: Work side-by-side with Partners who are committed to a defined, realistic path to equity—without the bureaucracy of a big firm
- High impact in Arkansas: Influence the firm's growth, client experience, and community presence in Central Arkansas, where relationships and reputation matter
- Local roots, long-term stability: Join a firm embedded in the Arkansas market and aligned with the state's business community and economy
- Balanced environment: Enjoy challenging work, meaningful client interaction, and a supportive team culture that values both performance and quality of life
Compensation and benefits:
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and leadership responsibilities.
- Performance-based bonus opportunity.
- Comprehensive benefits package (health, retirement, PTO).
- Ongoing professional development support, including CPE and certifications.
