Pay and Benefits:
Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000 annually
Bonuses: Annual, performance based

The Role:
The Tax Manager position requires a high degree of technical proficiency in corporate and specialized taxation, alongside an intimate working relationship with both clients and firm personnel. The Tax Manager works closely with firm shareholders to deliver a full lifecycle of tax planning, preparation and consulting services, and is expected to lead. Key aspects of the role include:
- Specialized Return Focus: Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns and income tax estimates, with a focus on banking and financial institutions including multi-entity C-Corporation and S-Corporation returns and involving multi-state apportionment.
- Diverse Portfolio: Prepare and review a select portfolio of individual, trust/fiduciary, partnership, exempt organization and employee benefit plan returns.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a direct point of contact for clients. Answer questions, resolve tax issues, and provide representation before taxing authorities when necessary.
- Internal leadership and mentorship: Lead the tax processes and coordinate with shareholders and other firm personnel to provide seamless integration of tax services with other engagements. Supervise and develop tax staff, providing on-the-job training and reviewing workpapers to ensure technical accuracy and professional growth.
- Technical Research: Perform extensive research on evolving tax laws and communicate the impact of these changes to both the firm and clients.
- Strategic Advisory: Work closely with shareholders to provide tax planning, due diligence, and merger and acquisition consultation for community banks.
