Tax Manager - Personal Tax Advisory

Hybrid | Cleveland, OH or Wooster, OH

This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys working closely with individuals, families, and trusts on both compliance and planning. You’ll take ownership of client engagements, lead staff, and play a key role in client relationships and technical tax work with increasing advisory and leadership responsibility over time.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and review individual, trust, and fiduciary tax engagements from start to finish
• Oversee tax return preparation, planning, and workflow across engagements
• Research and resolve complex tax issues (federal, state, and local)
• Serve as a key point of contact for client tax matters
• Identify planning opportunities and improve client tax positions
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of junior staff
• Ensure accuracy, deadlines, and quality across all deliverables
• Support engagement planning and client communications
• Stay current on tax law changes and technical developments
• Contribute to proposals and client development efforts

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of tax experience (individual, trust, or fiduciary focus preferred)
• CPA preferred or in progress
• Strong tax research and analytical skills
• Experience reviewing returns and managing multiple deadlines
• Confident communicator with both clients and internal teams
• Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused
