Salary: $85,000 to $125,000 per year

Our firm serves approximately 2,000 clients and is committed to delivering exceptional client service, practical tax solutions, and long-term relationships. We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior or Tax Manager to join our team and help support our continued growth.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, reviewing tax returns, solving complex tax issues, and mentoring staff. The successful candidate will play an important role in client service, tax compliance, tax planning, and team development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 1041

• Manage a portfolio of individual and business tax clients

• Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching and technical guidance

• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, planning opportunities, notices, and filing requirements

• Prepare tax projections, estimated tax calculations, and year-end tax planning analyses

• Research federal and state tax issues and provide practical recommendations

• Analyze financial statements, trial balances, and accounting records for tax reporting purposes

• Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence

• Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency and provide value-added advisory services

• Collaborate with firm leadership on complex tax engagements and special projects

• Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client expectations effectively

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

• CPA license preferred but not required

• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience preferred

• Strong experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1065

• Experience with fiduciary and trust returns (Form 1041) is a plus

• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Drake Tax preferred

• QuickBooks Online

• QuickBooks Desktop

• Adobe Acrobat

• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
