Job Summary
We're looking to add a Tax Manager to lead engagements, mentor rising talent, and deepen client relationships within its tax practice. You'll partner closely with firm leadership and other partners across a flexible team structure, with real say in how work and people are managed rather than being boxed into a single fixed pod.
Responsibilities
- Review complex tax returns for businesses and individuals
- Partner with clients on tax planning strategies
- Advise clients on business matters and general retirement planning
- Coach, train, and evaluate Seniors and staff
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships and keep engagements on schedule
- Work with firm leadership on staffing decisions and workflow planning
Qualifications
- 7+ years of tax experience within a public accounting firm with active CPA
- A track record of career stability rather than frequent job changes
- Strong leadership presence and a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high level planning, consulting, and technical guidance to clients
- Sharp problem-solving skills and good judgment under deadline pressure
- Comfortable with tax software and MS Office
- Adaptable and professional working across partners, managers, and staff in a flexible team structure
