We are seeking a Tax Manager (CPA) for a full time, onsite and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners. They are open to someone working in Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach, Florida.
This is a great Tax Manager opportunity with a growing public accounting firm with multiple offices in South Florida. You will work with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and closely held businesses. You will collaborate directly with partners and clients on tax planning, compliance, and consulting engagements. This leadership role is ideal for a tax professional with a strong technical background, excellent client service skills, and experience managing complex tax engagements. You will oversee tax compliance, provide strategic tax planning, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while mentoring and developing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities.
- Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
- Perform tax research and identify planning opportunities that deliver value to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a primary point of contact.
- Partner with firm leadership on tax planning, consulting, and client advisory services.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion of engagements.
- Stay informed of changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Active CPA license required (candidates currently sitting for the CPA exam will also be considered).
- 5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience, with regional, national, or Big Four experience considered a plus.
- Familiar with standard tax practices and procedures with general knowledge of FASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP.
- Experience working with pass-through entities like C-Corp, Partnership, S-Corp, and Individual tax preparation for high-net-worth taxpayers.
- Strong client relationship management, tax research skills and tax return review experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax research, planning, and compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with tax software such as CCH, ProSystem Tax, Engagement, Fixed Assets, or similar tax technology platforms.
- Experience with client billing and administrative processes is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
