The Opportunity
As a Senior Associate in our Tax practice, you will navigate the complexities of mergers and acquisitions tax, providing tailored solutions that optimize tax strategies and drive compliance. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex problems, mentor junior team members, and maintain professional standards. You will focus on building meaningful client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, anticipating needs and delivering quality solutions.
In this role at PwC, you will be part of the Global Business Structuring network, assisting businesses in designing effective international tax structures. You will also engage with our Deals Tax services, providing tax advice and support for business transactions to maximize tax efficiency. Responsibilities
- Analyzing complex tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions to provide strategic insights
- Developing and implementing tax-efficient structures to optimize client tax positions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate tax strategies into broader business objectives
- Preparing and reviewing consolidated tax returns to validate compliance with relevant regulations
- Advising clients on domestic restructuring to enhance tax benefits and compliance
- Conducting post-deal integration to align financial and operational aspects of merged entities
- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and provide actionable recommendations
- Supporting clients in navigating the global tax landscape by providing tailored tax advice
- Managing tax modeling scenarios to assess the implications of various structural options
- Building and maintaining client relationships to identify and address tax challenges effectively
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Master of Laws degree
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements and demonstrate a commitment to undertaking and passing Bar exam
