Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Review of annual tax workpapers prepared by external Big 4 vendors
- Support the team with the collection and organization of financial and tax data used in tax reporting; including the logging of underlying tax reporting from portfolio companies
- Assist with the preparation and review of tax compliance reporting (Schedule K-1) for private funds
- Review of carried interest calculations
- Reviewing annual tax filings including Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-RIC
- Reviewing annual state/local filings for multiple jurisdictions
- Perform reconciliations between accounting records and tax work papers to ensure accurate investor reporting
- Assist with internal and external requests related to investor tax reporting
- Ad hoc tax requests from Investor Relations and Operations teams
Requirements
- Preferred candidate will be a rising Senior (Class of 2028) or rising Junior (Class of 2029) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, quick to identify errors, ensure consistency of information
- Superior Excel skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, effective and strong active listening skills
- Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results driven team environment
- Innovative and creative thinker; ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions, ability to project how potential ideas may play out
