We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Intern who is passionate about helping clients navigate tax complexities and looks forward to working with a close-knit, supportive team, while contributing to our innovative approach and lasting tax efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

• Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, trusts, and other entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Tax Planning: Support in developing and implementing tax-saving strategies and preparing tax projections to meet client financial goals.
• Client Interaction: Gather necessary documents and information from clients, answer client questions, and communicate updates throughout the tax preparation and planning process.
• Data Entry & Review: Input financial data into tax software with precision, conduct initial reviews, and cross-reference documents to ensure accuracy.
• Research & Compliance: Stay
  current with IRS regulations, tax code changes, and state tax laws, and help ensure firm compliance with all applicable laws.
• Document Management: Organize and maintain accurate client files, manage deadlines, and ensure sensitive information is securely handled.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative duties as needed to support efficient office operations.

 Experience You’ll Bring:

• Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; relevant coursework in taxation a plus
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in accounting coursework
• Skills: Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions. Analytical mindset with a willingness to research and problem-solve complex tax issues. Willingness to learn our tax preparation software
• Interpersonal Skills: You should enjoy working with others and have a natural ability to listen, ask questions, and help clients feel comfortable.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with tax and financial regulations or a willingness to learn about industry standards (such as IRS, FINRA, and SEC regulations) will be helpful but not required.

General Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk short distances within the office
• Ability to lift & carry up to 50lbs
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder level to access items or equipment
