Undergraduate core program in accounting, business, public administration or related field which included 3 courses in accounting; 42 mos. exp. in accounting, auditing, &/or taxation; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques; 12 mos. exp. in customer service.
-Or graduate core program in accounting, business, public administration, or related field which included 3 courses in accounting; 30 mos. exp. in accounting, auditing, &/or taxation; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques; 12 mos. exp. in customer service.

The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking to fill one (1) Tax Examiner Manager position in the Pass Through Entity & Fiduciary Income Tax Division.
What You’ll do as a Tax Examiner Manager:
- Oversee phone queue activity and call volume to ensure alignment with established service level objectives.
- Develop and maintain weekly staffing schedules for Phone Support, Live Chat, and Visitor Center operations.
- Organize and lead weekly team meetings, including agenda preparation, to share updates, promote best practices, and address employee concerns.
- Generate weekly performance reports and deliver timely updates to senior management regarding team metrics and operational outcomes.
- Review and approve employee timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy in leave balances and sufficient coverage across all shifts.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide constructive feedback, evaluate performance, and support career development.
- Design and execute team-building initiatives and departmental development programs informed by employee feedback and survey results.
- Partner with leadership to identify and implement process enhancements that support strategic organizational objectives
