Tax Coordinator

PYA is seeking a Tax Coordinator to join its high‑performing, privately-owned firm known for its dynamic culture and strong national reputation. The ideal candidate is a proactive self‑starter and strong communicator with demonstrated experience in tax administration and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service as a part of the Tax Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage tax client documentation throughout all stages of the engagement lifecycle
• Prepare engagement letters and coordinate timely execution
• Gather, organize, and maintain client documents and information to support tax preparation and planning
• Communicate with internal and external clients to request additional information or clarify documentation needs
• Initiate, update and maintain accurate client records in internal systems, including CCH and Salesforce
• Prepare and analyze reports to support efficient project management
• Ensure all files are complete, accurate, and properly organized for review, including documentation for future years
• Track workflows, due dates, and project milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Provide general administrative support to the Tax Team as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of tax administrative experience at a fast-paced professional services firm
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong initiative, sound judgment, and a sense of ownership over support tasks
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including the ability to compose and edit professional documents and communications
• Advanced experience with CCH and other tax technologies; Salesforce experience preferred
• Familiarity with common tax forms, terminology, and deadlines preferred including exposure to processing tax returns
• Demonstrated professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and discretion when interacting with individuals at all levels inside and outside the firm.

POSITION TYPE

• Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Overtime required at peak times, and as needed
