Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team at SSC Advisors, Inc., and SSC CPAs P.A., where we are actively seeking a talented and dedicated Tax Associate.  

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Dedication to client service meets internal and external client deliverables.
• Must be team-oriented but able to work independently.
• Exhibits core values of integrity, accountability, leadership, and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting and accounting systems
• Understanding of the technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance

Responsibilities:

• Tax return preparation and/or review based on qualifications
• Respond to IRS and State tax notices.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Complete state and local tax filings.
• Ensure returns are prepared accurately and filed timely.
• Communicate directly with clients to request information and answer questions.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines during tax season.

If you are a talented and dedicated professional with a passion for tax and accounting, we invite you to join our team.

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• CPA or EA preferred

• 3-4 years of tax experience in public accounting
• Proven proficiency in the preparation of tax returns
• Experience with Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax/Accounting CS a plus
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
