Tax Associate

We have a NYC based, SEC-registered clean energy private equity fund looking for a Tax Associate. Not a VC firm, returns come from operating cash flows and asset appreciation across six closed-end funds with $3B raised and approximately $2B AUM.

The role

You will own your work from day one and interface directly with outside tax advisors. The focus is heavily on partnership tax and coordination in a fast-moving environment where the team is still being built around you.

Responsibilities

• Apply partnership tax rules and manage K-1 allocations across fund structures
• Serve as the primary internal contact for external tax advisors, coordinating closely and consistently
• Support annual tax reporting processes end to end
• Assist with regulatory filings as required
• Contribute to ad hoc projects as the team scales and the platform grows

What you bring

• 2-3+ years of experience in partnership tax, from a fund, private equity, or public accounting background
• Hands-on experience with K-1 allocations
• Comfort managing external tax advisor relationships with minimal oversight

• Big 4 background, ideally from a tax practice preferred
