The Tax Analyst will support the Canadian and U.S. tax functions by assisting with tax compliance, tax accounting, audits, indirect tax reporting, tax research, and special projects. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax legislation and reporting requirements. This role is located at our Head Office in Vaughan, ON. The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $73,000/ year. This position is also eligible to participate in our short term incentive program. Please note the compensation information shown above is a general guideline only. University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or related discipline.

1-3 years of progressive Canadian tax experience.

Experience with corporate income tax, partnerships, and GST/HST compliance is an asset.

Exposure to U.S. federal and state tax compliance is preferred.

Strong Excel, analytical, and tax research skills.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

Assist with Canadian and U.S. tax compliance, including corporate, partnership, information, federal, and state tax returns, while supporting external tax advisors with tax filings and working papers.

Prepare and file indirect tax returns (GST/HST), record tax-related journal entries, coordinate tax payments, and maintain government tax account records.

Support tax accounting and financial reporting activities, including tax provisions, current and deferred tax calculations, financial statement disclosures, and audit requests.

Coordinate and support CRA, IRS, provincial, and state tax audits and reviews by preparing documentation, responding to information requests, and tracking assessments.

Conduct tax research, support rebate programs and tax planning initiatives, contribute to special projects and corporate reorganizations, and identify opportunities to improve tax processes and automation.
