In this role, you will…
- Be responsible for timely and accurate insurance tax filings, including:
- State premium tax
- Municipal tax and license fees
- State sales and use tax
- Federal excise tax
- Assist with preparation of the quarterly income tax provision.
- Track and respond to notices from taxing authorities.
- Develop and improve tax team processes, including:
- Calculation of tax estimates and accruals
- Tracking of filing status and payments
- Gathering data for reporting and review
- Coordinate filing responsibilities within and outside of the Finance department.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests.
- Research and document wide-ranging tax topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for candidates with…
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance.
- An interest in data analytics and process improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proven ability to work independently and effectively.
