Tax Analyst

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00- $80,000.00 depending on experience, and a 10% bonus opportunity.

This position is a hybrid position required 3 days in office in our Aurora, Colorado location. 

This is how you WOW:

• Preparing and filing timely tax returns for a given segment of the business to the proper taxing authorities for property tax, multi-state income/franchise taxes, sales/use taxes, GST/VAT taxes and gross receipts
• Performing duties related to the issuances and renewals of business licenses and updating all secretary of state filings
• Validating and processing exemption certificates for all tax exempt entities, with the ability to understand and support the determination of proper taxability of products and services sold to customers
• Working with external and internal customers in a collaborativee approach to establish and maintain good working relationships
• Responding to tax jurisdiction notices and inquiries.
• Assisting and supporting with tax audits
• Special project work as needed

It would be WOW if you would bring this in:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 2 year’s relevant experience in tax research, tax return preparation, auditing or filing sales and use tax returns.
• The ability to exercise considerable judgement in tax issues and filings
• Working knowledge of Exemption Certificate Management systems
• Working knowledge of sales and use taxation
• Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing industry a plus
• Working knowledge of Avalara is a plus
