What You’ll Be Part Of

As a Tax Analyst within HARMAN's Corporate Global team, you'll join a dedicated U.S. tax reporting group that plays a central role in keeping the company's tax function running with accuracy and integrity. Reporting to the Manager, Tax, you'll work alongside internal cross-functional partners and external advisors to support U.S. tax compliance and provision processes — while also lending your expertise to broader tax initiatives across the organization.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Serve as a core member of the U.S. tax reporting team, preparing and analyzing quarterly tax provision procedures using OneSource Tax Provision software 

• Assist in preparation of certain “rest of world” foreign tax provisions, as needed 

• Prepare tax supporting documentation required for Samsung / GCPS reporting 

• Play a core role in the preparation and review of U.S. tax compliance, collaborating with both internal and external teams 

• Assist with Research and Development Tax Credit study and other ad hoc compliance/filing requirements 

• Assist with inquiries or examinations by taxing authorities, as needed 

• Support other ad hoc tax related matters 

• Manage tax department’s invoices from external service providers 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Treasury) to support tax-related data needs and inquiries 

What Makes You a Strong Fit 

• Bachelor of Science/Accounting, or Finance degree or equivalent experience  

• 3+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience working in the corporate tax department 

• Experience preparing Federal, State and Local consolidated, Unitary and separate corporate tax returns 

• Working knowledge of Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740 / IFRS 

• Solid understanding of how to perform tax technical research 

• Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Bonus Points if You Have  

• Progress toward or completion of MST, CPA  

• Experience with tax provision or compliance software (e.g., Onesource Tax Provision, BPC, OneStream, or similar tools)  

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills (e.g. Alteryx, PowerBi, or similar tools) 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate to manager 

• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise 
• Exposure to AI-driven tools and a demonstrated interest in applying them  

Things to Know 

• This role is based in Stamford, Connecticut and follows a hybrid schedule 

• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer) 

• This role requires occasional domestic and international travel
