Tax Accountant (CPA)

Burke CPAs & Advisors is seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join our Richmond office. This opportunity is ideal for a CPA with 1–3 years of public accounting experience who is ready to expand their technical expertise while working closely with experienced professionals serving privately owned businesses and individual clients.

What You'll Do

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses and individuals.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance engagements.
• Research tax issues and prepare supporting documentation.
• Build relationships with clients while providing responsive, professional service.
• Collaborate with partners and senior team members on complex engagements.
• Maintain technical knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license (or currently testing).
• 1–3 years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to exceptional client service.

Preferred

• Experience with multi-entity or closely held businesses.
• Familiarity with Axcess.
