A day in the life
The leader will lead the continued evolution of procurement into a globally integrated, data-driven organization that delivers cost efficiency, fosters innovation, and creates sustained competitive advantage aligned with enterprise priorities and long-term growth objectives.
Operating at the intersection of real estate, infrastructure, and technology, the leader will play a critical role in enabling Prologis’ expansion into mission-critical assets globally including data centers. This leader will drive strategic sourcing initiatives that scale with the business and enhance value across diverse asset classes, overseeing $7B+ of annual spend for the core logistics business and ~$5B for the data center business.
In addition, the leader will champion the adoption of digital and AI-enabled procurement capabilities to improve decision-making, strengthen supplier ecosystems, and elevate operational performance globally. By embedding advanced analytics and technology into procurement processes, this role will position the function as a strategic driver of innovation and efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Transformation & Business Integration
- Define and execute a global strategy for procurement process excellence, innovation, and strategic sourcing
- Lead the evolution of procurement into an enterprise partner for end-to-end category management, embedded in business planning and investment decisions
- Integrate procurement into development, capital deployment, and operational planning processes to enable design-to-cost and data-driven decision-making
- Lead digital transformation initiatives within procurement, including the adoption of AI-driven analytics, automation, and decision-support tools to enhance sourcing strategies, supplier management, and cost optimization
Operations, Process Excellence & Performance
- Establish standardized, end-to-end procurement processes (source-to-contract, procure-to-pay) to drive consistency and scalability
- Deliver cumulative cost savings while reducing procurement cost as a percentage of spend
- Champion a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Implement performance dashboards to track savings realization, procurement efficiency, and enterprise impact
- Define and enforce global procurement policies, governance, and compliance standards
Category Management & Supplier Strategy
- Build and scale a global category management framework aligned with business priorities and market dynamics
- Lead procurement strategy and supplier ecosystems supporting data center and mission-critical infrastructure, including critical equipment sourcing and capacity planning
- Establish and manage strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation, cost efficiency, and performance
- Implement supplier performance management frameworks, including KPIs, scorecards, and governance routines
Organization Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team, fostering accountability, talent development, and organizational capability
AI Leadership
- Adopts AI tools to improve procurement, streamline operations, and elevate strategic capacity
- Drive adoption of AI and digital tools and platforms, including e-procurement, analytics, automation, and supplier integration technologies
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of executive leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing within a global organization
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and contributing to board-level initiatives
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, quantifiable cost savings and enterprise value creation
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling end-to-end procurement processes and operating models
- Experience leading category management transformation and embedding procurement into core business strategy
- Experience with digital procurement platforms, analytics tools, and automation technologies
- Strong financial acumen with experience integrating savings into budgets and financial plans
- Experience leading global, cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills with executive presence
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
Preferred:
- Experience in data center or mission-critical infrastructure procurement
- MBA or advanced degree
- Background in real estate, logistics, or asset-intensive industries
Hiring Salary Range of: $290,000 - $325,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
