Supervises payroll function of processing timecards, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, recording hours of work, and calculating payrolls.

Develops operational plans to achieve results and ensures alignment with company goals and objectives.

Sets goals for work group, manages execution, and measures results.

Selects, manages, evaluates and develops staff. Challenges employees, builds effective team, develops organizational capacity, and provides staff with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.

Reviews or directs review of personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired workers, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll.

Directs compilation and preparation of payroll data, including pension, insurance, bond purchases, and credit union payments.

Records or directs recording of, new or changed pay rates in payroll register or computer files.

Supervises computation of pay according to company policy.

Reviews and approves payroll deductions.

Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.

Directs preparation of government reports.

Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy.

EXPERIENCE:
3 years required, 5 years preferred of p ayroll experience .
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates' Degree preferred.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to manage one's own time and time of others.
Business and management principles, including strategic planning, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Payroll and accounting practices and principles.
Federal and state employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
Organized, detail oriented, and results driven preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.
Working Environment:
� General Office � Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
