Substitute Coordinator and Accounting Specialist

Applications are being accepted for the position of Substitute Coordinator & Accounting Specialist with the East Valley Institute of Technology. This position will work at our Main St Campus (1601 W. Main St Mesa AZ 85201). The hours are M-F 7:30-4:00. 
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Associate Chief Financial Officer, the Substitute Coordinator and Accounting Specialist coordinates substitute staffing services and performs a variety of accounting and financial support functions. This position will ensure adequate staffing coverage when teachers are absent. The position will also perform accounting duties including reconciliations, journal entries accounts payable receivable support, financial record maintenance, audit preparation, and reporting. This position will provide excellent customer service.
Job Type: Full Time, 12 Month Exempt
Salary: $26.00 - 31.98 / Hour.  Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience and certification. 
Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years (2) of progressively responsible clerical, administrative support, staffing coordination, payroll, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Experience using computerized databases, scheduling systems, payroll systems, or financial software.
• Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience using school absence management systems like Frontline or Red Rover.
• Experience using time management systems like Time Clock Plus or similar.
• Previous school experience as a substitute coordinator.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
