Strategic Account Compliance Manager - West What is the Position? Applied has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Compliance Manager focused on Contract Compliance, Sales and Pricing Data Management and Analysis, and Inventory Agreements and Cost Savings Initiatives for multiple customers’ plant locations in our Strategic Account group. This is a high-profile position in our Strategic Account group with many growth opportunities. This position will help to solidify an already solid connection between Applied and the assigned customers. What will I do? As the Strategic Account Compliance Manager, you will manage the relationship between Applied service centers and our customers’ plants within a defined geography in terms of Contract Compliance, Sales and Pricing Data Management and Analysis, Inventory and Cost Savings Initiatives. Duties include, but are not limited to: Contract Compliance Track product conversions Monitor contract commitment adherence Resolve discrepancies with contracts; partner with sales, operations, procurement, and finance Lead the process in documenting and reporting value-added services and activities provided to the customers. Inventory Management Manage committed and consigned inventory for the customers’ contracts Analyze data to identify excess inventory, consumption trends, and potential inventory risks Identify opportunities to improve gross margin, account profitability, and sales growth Manage data, workflows, and reporting Utilize appropriate AI tools to streamline reporting and processes within Strategic Accounts Determine a consistent and efficient practice for customer reviews Advise on areas and processes that can be effectively improved with the use of AI Set up and participate in plant surveys, product reviews, and inventory analysis with key contacts at the customer plant level, along with the Strategic Account Managers and the local Sales Team. What are the Job Requirements? Three years’ experience in the sales, customer service engineering, or operations management arena is required. Equivalent to two years’ college study plus specialized training in customer service practices and office functions is needed. Math aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical principles to address customer needs are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AI tools is a must as is the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. A successful candidate will be aggressive, confident, and can deal with all facets of a customer at the National/International level as well as effectively manage internal associates with no direct reporting relationship. The ability to work independently while collaborating with other areas of the business is essential. A strong understanding of industrial distribution, supplier agreements, customer contracts, and product conversion programs is a plus.
