Staff Accountant

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas that is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team. This position is onsite with a hybrid/remote option possibly available.

What's the role?

Staff Accountants are a key part of the accounting team responsible for supporting client relationships while providing basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. This role allows you to explore multiple facets of public accounting as you find your niche in audit, bookkeeping, and/or tax work. This includes:

• Providing full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients.
• Preparing payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Preparing corporate and individual tax returns.
• Assisting with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field at minimum.
• 0-2 years' experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting/taxation concepts.
• High level of computer literacy, to include proficiency in computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Suite).
• Demonstrate the ability to produce a high quality product through attention to detail.
• Open, honest and professional communication; including active listening skills.
• Self-management to meet target dates.

Compensation

Salary Range: $60,000/yr - $75,000/yr (based on experience and past performance)

Additional Compensation Opportunities:

• Retention Incentive Compensation Plan (paid at Years 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20)
