ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES: 

• Responsible for designated Balance Sheet/SOP reconciliations  

• Preparation & maintenance of account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation 

• Preparation of journal entries as  

• Assists in preparation of monthly Financial Statement package 

• Assists in month end Financial Statement Close 

• Accounting for monthly transactions for retirement plans   

• Assists in annual Financial Statement Audit 

• Assists in annual 990 preparation 

• Leverages accounting software and IT systems to effectively perform duties. 

• Assists in ERP implementation as needed to include data review/transfer & reconciliation between existing and proposed systems 

• Performs other duties as deemed necessary 

• Cross training to support Finance & Accounting department 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field 
• 3+ years hands on general ledger accounting & reconciliation work 
• 2 years of assistance in monthly financial statements 
• 3+ years of responsible, professional experience that can attest to a comprehensive knowledge of broad-based financial accounting functions 
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience of system applications related to financial accounting and ability to learn new systems 
• Intermediate – Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills & proficiency with all Microsoft Office products
• Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Exceptional ability to work collaboratively and provide customer service with internal staff and external partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Non-profit and/or public accounting experience
• GAAP and related financial accounting experience
• Experience with large ERP systems, Workday strongly preferred
