The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to the Chief Financial Officer in assisting with Accounts Receivable Billing, Payroll processing; reconciling balance sheet accounts; assisting with generating Income Audit; Assisting Banking on-line Cash Management; and perform A/P month-end; Monthly accruals.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
High school degree or equivalent.
Two to Three year’s previous experience in resort or accounting industry
Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations.
Ability to use Windows-based computer systems; Property Management Systems
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet/Word software
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language
Strong organizational skills required.
Work without direct daily supervision.
Enforce resort’s standards, policies, and procedures with all levels of resort staff.
Prioritize and organize work assignments.
Maintain clear and accurate records for all adjustments posted.
Maintain basic service standards of phone etiquette.
Desirable:
- Familiar with Opera Property Management System software.
- Familiar with Great Plains / Dynamics Accounting Software.
- Intuitive ability to identify problem sources and resolutions.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Participate in Accounting meetings as scheduled
Complete assignments and special projects assigned by Accounting Management
Establish (with Accounting Manager and CFO) internal controls standards.
Cross train with other positions in accounting to afford coverage during absences.
