Position Function:  

The?accountant?supports the Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department with ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Commissions, and Reconciling.   

Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:  

• Work with the Assistant Controller to?establish?credit limits for new customers.   
• Prepare reports as?required?for the Assistant Controller.   
• Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures,?complying with?federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.   
• Other duties as assigned.   
• Record transactions as they relate to Accounts Receivable.? 
• Print customer invoices to remit to the customer in the manner required by the customer.? 
• Identify?payment issues and work with customers to resolve problems and collect?payment.? 
• Maintain customer account receivable files.? 
• Record transactions as they relate to Accounts Payable.? 
• Process customer invoices, matching invoices to?receivers?and obtaining management approval where?required.? 
• Resole vendor invoice discrepancies.? 
• Prepare the weekly accounts payable check?run?for signature.? 
• Record miscellaneous cash transactions in the financial system.? 
• Process monthly commissions for sales reps? 
• Reconcile all credit cards monthly.? 

Personal Qualifications:  

• US Person? 
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is?required.?
