The Spine Team Texas Accountant is responsible for performing accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports for management review. The Accountant will provide assistance to the Accounting Manager with various assigned tasks including; yearly budget preparation, payroll, and Financial Statement preparation. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements & Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accounting with at least 2 years' experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively present information to senior management.
- Strong problem resolution skills, including ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent time management skills, including ability to prioritize own work and meet deadlines.
- Detailed oriented and organized.
- Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
Extra Value but not required:
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Experience with intercompany accounts
- Experience with multisite healthcare
Accountant Responsibilities:
While protecting the financial integrity of the Company, the Accountant’s responsibilities include accounts payable, process monthly journal entries, weekly bank deposit, general ledger account reconciliations and assisting with month end close/financial statement preparation, yearly budget preparation, and payroll. Special projects and job assignments may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management staff. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
