Position Purpose: the Staff Accountant (TEMP) will partner closely with AP & Assistant Controllers and play an integral role in our monthly accounting processes.
*This is a temporary 3-4 month assignment.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Post GL entries on a weekly/monthly basis to process transactions of the business including AR transactions, Cash transactions and Corporate Credit Card transactions Reconcile & Post AMEX Statement transactions with proper GL coding. Assist in the month-end close process and ensure reporting deadlines are adhered to. Process House Account transactions as needed daily from the locations. Perform bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts on a monthly basis. Help to manage the Corporate Credit Card platform (adjust limits after approval, add or remove cards, etc...) Assist with the preparation of various ad-hoc analysis as needed by the business Excellent problem-solving skills with good intuition.
Minimal Essential Requirements:
The ability to work as part of a team and superior organization. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) Wide breadth of accounting experience Exceptional ability to handle a high-volume fast-paced work environment. Aptitude for numbers, quantitative and analytical skills. Excellent problem-solving skills with good intuition
