About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing portfolio of properties. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities, partner closely with property leadership, and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant looking to build strong technical skills while gaining exposure to multi-entity operations and senior finance leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and cash management
- Prepare and post journal entries, including daily revenue and month-end close entries
- Monitor and forecast cash flow; prepare funding requests as needed
- Produce and distribute weekly and monthly financial and operational reports
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying variances and trends
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and file state and local sales tax returns
- Support annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Partner with General Managers and Regional Controllers to address financial questions and improve processes
Required Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (general ledger and/or accounts payable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting systems
- Experience in hospitality, retail, F&B, or multi-entity accounting environments
